Tackling Rust

A mate and I have owned the car for a little while but we've only done fairly minor jobs on it so far. I've now bought it outright and moved it home so I can spend more time on it (previously lived in my mates barn).

 

How it arrived... looking like a proper barn find!

So these are the main areas of concern and the bits I'd like to try and tackle first. I haven't done any exploratory work with a screwdriver yet as TBH I'm a bit nervous!

 

Passenger rear arch

Presumably grinding these back (I'm expecting holes to develop in a few places) is the way to go but how do I then go about patching the hole? Metal would need shaping so is it possible to get repair panels? Or do I need to find a shell that's solid in these areas and cut bits out of it to then weld in to mine?

 

There's also some cracking at the top of the B pillar on both sides - just sand back and re-paint?

The rust will need cutting out so you can weld in fresh metal. You can get pattern repair panels like sills and wings, but anything else will need fabricating, bits like the inner rear arches etc.

Any idea what the cost for a pattern rear panel is? Is it a case of buying the whole rear panel or can you just get an arch?
