Fuel Pump Rewiring ?

So after discovering the fault with my pump is the wiring I now have to rewire it, the fuel pump seems to run to the boot then forward to the engine, I have been told to hard wire it to the ignition but I'm not so keen on this, does anyone know a way of doing it ? Thanks

just replicate the standard wiring

By the looks of it, it's not standard, it's looks like it's been chopped and changed to suit whomever did it originally

so dont replicate that then, as its not standard

 

circuit goes relay-fusebox-fuel pump-earth.
