No Cold Start And Random Poor Running A Low Revs

Recommended Posts

I'm pulling my hair out trying to sort this now

Since doing my vts conversion I have no cold start and pretty much won't idle until up to temp, feels like it's holding back at slow speeds under 3k.

When fitting the engine the vts multiplex was swapper for a gti6 ph2 loom and ecu.

Ecu temp sender was changed to gti6

Map sensor plug was swapped back to vts phase 2

I wired in an odb plug this week and had fault code

TC38 MAP high limit.

Tc170 purge valve short or open circuit to earth.

so replaced the MAP.

I also replaced the ICV.

cleared the codes went a spin and nothing's changed and same codes are logged again.

Could really do with some help with this one guys.

what reader are you using? most pre 2002 petrol pugs are not obd compliant, 2005 for diesels.
