Rear Window Vents? Whatever They're Called, Can You Get These For

Recommended Posts

Not sure what these items are even called, which makes it harder to search for them. But can you get these rear window vent things for the 205?

I see them on Minis a lot. Pictured on a Mitsubishi Starion below.

They're called rear window louvres but I've never seen a 205 one.

Thanks for the reply. At least now i know the proper name (Louvred panels/windows) i can search for some. Plenty of the older cars have them but haven't come across any on a 205 yet.... Anyone else think these would look good or am i alone on this one?

They're like the red reflective panels that go between the rear lights, a period accessory that you either love or hate. I always wanted one for my Citroen CX turbo, they were made for them but I could never find one.

I've been told they were made by a company called Autoplas who are still in business but not making louvres any more. http://www.ap-auto.co.uk/

It's a "no" from me.

Some things are best left in the early 80's!

It would be like putting a brown vinyl roof on a 205 GTI. Just because it looked ok on an Austin Allegro doesn't mean it suits a 205!!

Ermm i'll second that idea tom but only because it isn't in the 'Improve and modify your peugeot 205' book that I just got, I mean if it isn't good enough for that book its a serious damage to street forum cred

They can look good on some cars...and I would say any hatchback lile the 205 aren't included in my opinion.
