Mud Flap Advice Required.

Recommended Posts

Purchased A set of front and rear'OE' mud flaps and GTI badges from the bay this week.

£62.50 Inc. Posting.

Arrived today and although advertised to fit a 205 the instructions show various models. But, of course not a 205.

Question Time. I don't want to open these up and try to fit if they are never going to fit in a million years.

Will they fit or shall I send back.

Regards.

Glen.

Correct as in not for the 205 purest?

Would people talk behind my back? ;)

My main need for flap is that my drive to my garage turns into a mud bath at the slightest bit of rain.

No matter how slow I drive mud flicks up all over the bodywork.

if it's just the garage entry/exit, then wouldn't you be best just concreting a ramp in situ, easy saturday morning job, or do you have a real hankering for mud flaps? it's something I'm undecided on too for the road car, I think, generally with British weather they are a good thing on a well used/driven car.

Check out Doboys....

I think they make the car more complete and not too busy at all, rather it's the window sticker that does that, didn't want to hurt his feelings though, the flaps look spot on.

You bought the wrong ones for modern pugs, 205 ones are out there, so buy them instead.

The garage enty/exit is fine. Good old concrete.

It's the 100 yard drive around the back of the houses where the drive is pot holed and a mud bath.

I have spoken to neighbours in regard to getting some type 1 MOT or recycled tarmac chips things to put down.

None of them are interested.

I'll suck it up and see how these fit.

Something is better than nothing I suppose.

You won't be happy with them, can't you just return them or sell them on and buy the right ones... you've waited this long

You can tell they aren't for a 205 from the shape of them.

If I still had my 605 I would of had them off you <_<

If they were sold for a 205 then you are still entitled to a refund even if opened and you discover they don't fit.
