Mi16 Misfiring

Recommended Posts

Jim Slim

Hi all,

I did have a thread about this but can no longer find it

My mi16 converted 205 has developed a mis fire. When it did the first time there was no symptoms it jus ran very lumpy and then cut out. Now it starts and runs every time but miss fires quite bad.

I have changed the

dizzy and rotar arm.

Ignition amplifier

Am wondering what you guys think I should try next? Cheers

I really want to sell the car but would be good to get it running properly first .

Thanks guys

hi guys

could a faulty coolant temperature sensor cause a mis fire? it really smells of fuel and only missfires under heavy revs and when up build the revs to around 3k. then it starts spluttering etc

i was going to try this before afm as its easier toget hold of one .

any ideas? please help

It could potentially do if it was causing it to mis-fuel significantly enough - easily checked with a multimeter though.

He's back down Sussex way now last time I spoke to him.
