Looking very nice! What would you recommend for removing dirt/oil/grime from the textured bumpers prior to treatment with plasticare? Mine are a little grubby whilst the back end been rebuilt.

Just a diluted APC, All Purpose Cleaner, like you may use in the kitchen to wipe down the worktops.

Spray on. Agitated with a small brush. Wipe and rinse.

Cheers! I've used this for various stuff around the car before and reassurance is helpful thanks

Ooops! That explains why I went through my paint so easily on my boot! Maybe 400>600>1000 wasn't the best idea

It's minimal damage though, and I can live with it. Will no doubt respray it anyway. Either I'll be spraying some of the tattier bodywork myself at some point, or I might just wait a few years until I've got my finances sorted out and then save up for a full respray.

There are areas where the machine polisher will not go.

Hand job time.

Now to go over the whole car with a paintwork polish. This is a all in one polish and paint cleaner, which will provide a deep shine ready for wax.

This will be applied by DA on speed 2.

I'll get out my DLSR for the final set of pictures. The previous ones have been via my mobile for ease to put on her.

Although, my phone connecting to photobucket account when wibble losing a load of photos from the start!

For the inside of the windscreen, does anyone really find it comfortable? I use 1 of these from the Pound Shop and it only costs a pound. Makes the job a lot easier.

For the trims I protect with Auto Finesse Revive.

This is probably one of my favorite Deep Clean products.

I'll let the photos show why.

On to the tyres and alloys.

I use the Old Skool rubber treatment of Wet'n'Black.

DSC_0019_zpsf9f63383.jpg

For the alloys I use Sonax Extreme Detailing Spray.

DSC_0020_zps0133d2c5.jpg

This brings a great shine and also helps to keep the brake dust away.

A quick wash with shampoo and any dust that is there just falls away.
