Boot Sound Deadening

What have people used to replace the sound deadening originally fitted under the boot mat? I don't want carpet off cuts and I know it's hidden but its got to be there or there a-bouts correct. Original must be around 20mm thick.

.. shops which sells equipment for industrial air con./ventilation systems usually have this in stock , cut and sold by requested length in various material thickness ... pretty cheap to , and it really works wonders on noise reduction !

I ended up using latex backed felt from Coverdale, it's about 15mm thick and sold by the metre.
