Excessive Smoke From Cam Cover Breather....... Diagnosis?

Recommended Posts

Right any of you guys had this?

We are talking James Bond style smoke from the lefthand breather take-off and an engine bay that's covered........!

Its pressurised the catch tank.

No.3 Plug is very oily, but the others are good.

No smoke from the exhaust though?

Very slight change in engine note when it was under load, but after lifting off and re-applying max throttle it didn't seem down on power before it spat all its oil out.

What we thinking? cracked ring/piston? valve guides/seals?

I have obviously pulled the plugs and spun the engine over, no nasty noises but, slight smoke/vapour from No.3. Nothing from the others.

:-(
