Water Pump Wont Come Off The Rallye

The water pump on the Rallye is leaking, everything is striped off but the pump just wont budge

 

The new pump only has a o-ring, so it should just slide off, unles the pump body has corroded itself to the iron block!

 

Any one had problems with this or tricks to get it off? tried pry bars but that wont budge it.

More force required, very common for them to be stubborn on the iron tu's

More force required, very common for them to be stubborn on the iron tu's

 

It came out after about an hour and a half, it needed heat, 2 pry bars and a chissel down the back of it and most of the casting around the bolt holes broke off, what a pain!
