2.0 Litre Turbo 8V Breather Issues Seams To Be Filling Up The Oil Catc

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Been having an issue with my oil catch tank filling up rather quick.

The picture I have stolen from a old thread that didn't answer my question. The yellow arrow is the pipe I have going direct to my oil catch tank not back onto my throttle body. The engine seams very healthy and i have both breather holes on the front of the block connected to the oil filler bottle which I think is correct. I have blocked the second hole on the oil filler bottle.

Any ideas guys??

The stub marked in yellow is the only one that should go to your breather bottle or catch tank, otherwise leave the rest of the breather system as Citroen intended.

It needs the vacuum from the throttle body to the filler assembly to keep crankcase pressure in check.

Also, dont overfill with oil.If i take mine over half on the dipstick it will blow it straight out on a track day.

Where does the lower pipe go from the catch tank? The top pipe should go direct to your air cleaner inlet.

That isn't my engine bay it's a picture I have used from an old thread. My oil catch tank only has 1 pipe going to it. Some said it could be my turbo causing it but I don't see how.

I am going to get pictures of it properly tomorrow so I can get you guys to hopefully help me solve the issue

Cheers

Run the proper recirculating breather set up and you will have no issues.

But won't that just pump the oil into my inlet and produce white smoke ?
