Mi16 Cam Cover Breather Plate.

Recommended Posts

Hello, my mi16 cam cover has a metal plate on the inside held by 3 screws as I'm wanting to swap as my is bent. It's the plate where the breather hose connects via the front of the cover then it has like a longish metal pipe coming from the plate inside. It's the pipe that is bent. No which bit I mean. My question is, the three cross head screws, if I'm swapping from one cover to another, should I use thread lock to lock the cross heads in. I have some medium strength don't want them vibrating lose into top of head. Was think I have some black gasket maker silicone. Could use that? Thanks Danny

If it was my engine, I'd thread lock them in.
