Will This Pas Setup Work On A 205 Gti?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Will the Peugeot 106 PAS system listed here work with my 1.6 205 GTI? if so, how easy is it to plumb in. If not, what do I need?

Youll need a few pipes making up using the original 205 or 306 hoses and mating them to the 106/saxo pump, plus the wiring which is fairly straightforward if you get the original wiring loom and relay.

Thanks for the speedy reply!

Is this something a good garage would be able to do with little instruction from me? I.e if I say it needs some pipe work made up, they should be able to do it?

Probably not, you'll need a specialist hose place to make the pipes up. If you've got the metal pipes from the rack and the pump you can link them easily using compression fittings.

The return pipes are low pressure so hose and jubilees will work fine.

If it's a competition car I'd consider using some kind of cooler in the return.

It's just for my everyday 205, it's becoming a pain when parking since it's heavier than my STDT steering.

Seems like a complicated process, what would be the easiest way of getting a PAS setup in my car? I've been told the diesel 205 kit won't go into a GTi?

Thanks in advance for the advice guys.

Pretty straightforward I'd say. I know a number of people who use the 106 pump (me included). The local Pirtek made my pressure hose for very reasonable money - I took the end fittings and told them how long I wanted it.

The diesel is completely different. Easiest way is source a complete pas setup off a gti......
