Distributor (Dizzy) Adapter Mi16 Fitting Guide

Recommended Posts

Monkey

Hello clever people :)

I have been searching on Google and on here, and have yet to find a definitive guide to fitting this adapter.

My other issues I think as mostly now cleared up - but I want to make sure this has been fitted correctly before I set about getting the car started again - so far it's been less than successful so I can going to go back to the beginning.

Thanks for any links to anything anybody can suggest!

Cheers

Ben

Youre more likely to find details on doing it properly than using one of those tbh!

Agreed, however this is currently what I have to work with.

Should i fail, I'll have little choice but to attempt a proper job, but for now I am holding out hope I can make it go!

Never seen one, Just set up as per the normal firing order, They all tend to vary and you have to drill holes in the right place

It lives :-)

I have done a little searching but am rusty on here in terms of what to search for...

Can anybody (Miles?) point me in a direction of a list of wires on the Mi16 needed to make it go and feed a ph1 309gti dash please?

I am going to put together a new loom including proper sized earth and power leads to replace the slightly ruined and weedy OE ones - also I will make a new ignition loom and tidy it all into some copex.

Also I need to wire the fans back in as it arrived with them wired live to a switch on the dash instead of the correct original wiring using the sensor in the radiator.

Still - I am making progress now! It feels good to have a car which works!
