Bleeding Pas Pump

Recommended Posts

Is there any tips on bleeding up the pas on my gti6 engine?

Had the car running lock to lock with the cap off

Pump is still a little noisey and really hot and the wheel is not getting any lighter.

Should just have to go from lock to lock a handful of times with the engine off, and then start the engine and do the same a few times, checking the fluid level and topping up as required. That's all I've done in the past and it's always been fine, with PAS assistance straight away and a quiet running pump.

Did you see that pump running in the donor car? Could be that it's knackered.

If your pump is noisy its probably nackered as Anthony says. There's no rubber seals inside it (apart from where you open it), it's all metal so no fluid means metal wear.

Saying that thought it should still work noisy unless its worn out. Try lifting the bottle up higher than the pump if you can while its running.
