Bumper Fixing Query

Recommended Posts

dobboy

Wondering if someone can assist. (trying to look and make sure i'm not missing any bits and bobs)

(from memory and i'm fairly positive my main front bumper bars have only one threaded stud welded to it near the end, and the pics of others i've seen are the same, but looking at service box it shows there are two?)

On the stiffener bars/pipes that go from the inner wing to the outer buffer/slider thing of the bumper ends, how is the inner wing side of it fixed? Does it fix on to the stud of the bumper bracket? or should there be a captive nut in the slot of the inner wing?

I intend on building up both bumper/valance arrangement, and lifting the lot on in a oney..... is that the best way?

TIA

Yup, one stud which also clamps the bumper side stay, nut and bolt at the front end of them either side of the radiator.

fitting as a complete assembly is easiest indeed.

Thats it on.... a tad awkward and probably putting the car up on ramps or even better stands with front wheels off would have helped.

Thanks again WP.
