Moving My Cti That Has Been Stood For A While

Recommended Posts

john-melbourne

Hi Guys,

I need to move my CTi that has been stood for a while, unfortunately the handbrake wasn't left off, i only have to move it about 50 meters though :) The battery is flat as it has been stood for about 10 months. What are the chances that if i charge the battery some slight acceleration might free up the back brakes? If this doesn't work is it just a cast of hitting the wheels with a block and a hammer?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

John

Never found hitting stuff works very well, but a good jerk with the clutch will usually release them from the drum, as long as the mechanism isn't also seized.

If you can get hold of a pair of wheel dollies, that would make it easy
