Any Models Of 205 You Have Never Seen Before?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

As the title suggests, are there any models of 205 that you've never seen before? I'm looking over howmanyleft.co.uk and there's a few models that I didn't know existed for example :

Peugeot 205 Gentry - apparently there are 2 examples left otr of this model and it's a separate listing to 'Peugeot 205 Gentry Automatic', general listing error or are there de-tuned 1.9 manual Gentrys out there?

Peugeot GRDT - can't say I've ever seen one? Although, 68 are taxed?

Peugeot 205 Look - is this a base model? I've seen Inca, Sceptre, Style etc... Never a 'Look' though.

Peugeot 205 Open - I'm assuming this has some similarities to the Roland Garros? Only 9 of these about apparently.

Peugeot 205 STI - What the deuce is this model? A GTi trim standard model? I assume it stands for Special Trim Injection? Also there's STI Auto as well.... None of these are about, anybody shed some light on this one?

Peugeot 205 XRA - I'm thinking possibly 'just' a Diesel model but I can't recall seeing one at all (none on the roads by the look of it)

Talk to me people.

The Gentry and Gentry Automatic are the same thing. The DVLA wasn't consistent when registering them.

The Look is indeed a base model.

These are the badges listed on Servicebox. Some of them might never have been used in the UK though, and there are definitely others too...

Automatic, CJ, Color Line, Comfort, CTI, DTurbo, GE, Gentry, GL, GLD, GR, GRD, GRDT, Green, GT, GTI, GTX, Indiana, Junior, Look, Open, Roland Garros, SI, SR, SRD, STDT, STI, Style, Summer, SX, Winner, XA, XAD, XE, XL, XLD, XR, XRA, XRAD, XRD, XRDT, XS, XSD, XT, XTD

That would explain that then, there's also an error with STDT and ST DT on the site.

Was the Look a Phase 1 or 2 model?

I'm really intrigued by the STi model as I can't think what it is, I think from that list, Indiana, Color Line, Comfort, Summer, SX, Winner, XSD are ones I think are export models as is the Forever ones if I remember correctly.

Is that factory trim? Or aftermarket?

I saw a Lacoste on the road in Devon last month. I'm guessing by the look of that one on eBay and his comment that says "white primer in places" that it's had some sills bodged.....

I thinks it's OEM but not 100%. The STDT had Gti trim with 3 doors. If it's not factory then it's a very good kit :)

There's a look in a scrapyard not too far away from me its a phase 2 has a diesel engine, that split dashboard fascia with the lights at the top, the interior is a nice blue with streaks of yellow and green oh and its a 5 door.

It is genuine as Peugeot did it as an option and also Peter Maiden Components used to sell them too as well as a non-GTI 3dr arch kit

Wasn't that the Junior? VW made a Beetle with denim called 'Jeans' and probably own the trademark.

Purchased this in January and had 205 New Orleans decal on tailgate and front wings. Spec is the same as a Mardi Gras except no badge on dash or sticker on the sunroof.

Cossack Gray. I wonder if the dealer changed the decals. Decals now gone and looks like this now.

Ah, never realised that 205 got Cossack Grey. It's nice in the metal - my old 306 S16 was in the same colour :)

That looks really nice! Does the V5 just list it as 'Peugeot 205' or does it say it's something else?
