Water Leak

Recommended Posts

Telf

Hi all

Does anybody have any experience of water leaking into both sides at the front- I have water in both footwells and the lagging/foam behind the dash is soaked.

The screen has been recently resealed so I don't think its coming from there.

Poured water all over the screen/ sunroof earlier- no water appeared- its just rained and hey presto the footwells have water in them again( ive taken the carpet out as Im sick of the damp smell!)

Any body had similar problems?

Thanks

P

Check the drain holes at each end of the scuttle panel, if they're blocked water can pool in the scuttle then run down through the cabin fan hole.

Where do the drain holes from a sun roof come out of?

I have tried to clear out, with strimmer cord, but can't find where it could/should pop out.

Also can come in from the rear quarters and drain to the front foot wells.

Heater matrix is worth a thought.

After further investigation it seems its getting in at both corners where the inner wing joins the bulk head and door pillar. Has anybody ever seen this? It looks like I might need to take both wings off and reseal all the joins. Not happy! Before I do has anybody any experience of thus?
Thanks for the replies all

try scuttle first and whip.off door cards and seal up the holes in the door, worked for me and another forum member, tried all sorts but it was the door holes.
