I didn't know the stereo's were worth a lot, I should dig out my stash and flog them! I have about 5 i think. Why are they worth a lot when they are crap?

I always find that anything that isn't a 90's Clarion stereo just looks out of place in the 205 centre console, I resorted 95/96 period Peugeot radio cassette decks for mine they seem to suit the original spirit of the car.

It's not quite a base model as you think, I have a base model one here that doesn't even have rewind.

As long as it's in keeping with the car then I'm not fussed about little details like auto reverse etc etc, it's cheap and it works is all that matters

I'm with you, I find as long as it's from a 205 it's in keeping.

I think as long as it's been fitted to a Peugeot, it doesn't look like it shouldn't be there, I guess many prefer an updated unit with all the Bluetooth and MP3 jazz. I think the Clarion unit in my 1.6 is actually a 306 or 106 unit as it's from 1995 car which I was under the impression that late 205's used the CRX-601 units.

Nice find. Do you just put your iPod in that little slot in the middle?

Ps. What's a CD?

Lol!... Now that would be a funky mod if you had an original one with a fooked tape player!... ipod connection hidden in behind the flap there!..
