Door Weatherseal Clips/rivets

Recommended Posts

Clapton_Is_God

Hello All,

I'm in the process of refitting the door weatherseal that fits along the body above the door.

The seal has three holes that correspond to three holes in the body. The top hole (pictured) is held with a plastic rivet that is available from Peugeot but the other two are not shown on servicebox. They're obviously different somehow as the holes in the body are smaller.

What goes in the other two holes? Are they still available and if not, what have other people used?

Does anyone have a picture they could post?

All help appreciated!

Dizzee stuff

I have just refitted mine and all the holes are 3mm and take the same clips, I am not sure if this differs on earlier or late cars. Mine is a phase 2.

Hello and thank you for the quick reply.

It seems they may differ from year to year, mine is an 88 phase 1.5.

I guess I could always drill them out, although I'd rather not.

Mine is a phase 2 and the strips on both sides only have the one hole (and corresponding pin) - in the top corner by the B pillar. The rest was stuck down with tape.

It's weird, they all seem to be different. Mine definitely had three smaller fixings other than the large one in the top corner.

That's the French for you!

Mine are the same as 2052006. I remember fitting these after a re-spray and having to find some decent double sided tape.
