Anyone had any dealings with this fella? Goes as 'James'

 

He collected quite a few parts from the garage in Essex 5 days ago on the basis that he would Paypal me on the day. (I wasn't at the garage when he collected, my friend was)

 

5 days have passed, not replying to texts or picking up phone. He took a rear bumper, airbox and pipes, rear trim and a fuel pump.

 

I just want my money. Let me know if you have any info on him.

Sounds like this James has no intention of paying you mate, never ever let anything go without the funds being cleared. Tbh cash is king when collecting in person.

 

If you have a reg of the car he collected in you could report that to the police and go from there?

I wasn't there when he collected. That was the problem. He was in a civic type r, that's all we know.

 

Could maybe check CCTV and take it from there.

Don't mean to sound like a c*nt but letting some one collect parts without payment beforehand /on the spot is a bit daft. Unless your know the member personally or know of them.

If it makes you feel any better, a friends brother let his car go without payment on the agreement that the 'buyer' would transfer the money over later on in the day. You can guess the rest.

I also know a similar story of 2 good mates, 1 sold a car to the other, he only paid half the money. You can guess the rest.

A little update, some money has been paid into my paypal, it's not the total amount for the parts I sold. Just getting to the bottom of who put the money in there. I've text him, he hasn't replied.
