Clio 182/172 Pads In Gti-6 Calipers

For a road driven car are you ever going to get them anywhere near the temperature they operate best at? IMO- NO!

So you may as well save the cash and use 1144's as usually there is something like £20-ish between the two compounds.

I use 1155's on the track and think they are a decent pad, they will put up with hard use, but overkill for a road car in my opinion.

Empty, hilly, winding roads with high visibility is one of the few perks of living in Scotland I guess. :) There are numerous lengthy downhill sections I traverse that give the brakes a hard time. The 1144's I had before did not fare well on these sections, they would fade early, had wider inconsistency and did they feel nice to use in general. Upon reading your reply I think it's possible that the gap I have noticed between the two products is because the 1144's were not bedded in correctly/already wrecked by the previous owner and the braking system not bled properly. This would explain why in my case, since installing the 1155's with new discs there has been improvement in pedal feel, cold bite, stopping power, consistency and so on.
