Standard Height Shocky Question

Recommended Posts

aldworth33

My cars standard height with group n shockys and solid mounts on rear, 309 bottom arms and standard front springs and struts

I'm wanting to keep it standard height but if possible stiffen it up a bit and as my front shock absorbers have started leaking was wondering what to replace them with?

Dampers wont stiffen it up, but there are some std diameter gravel rally springs about that will be stiffer, though I dont know what ride height they would give.

bilstein b4 is a good oem replacement, after that you're into the yellow bodied units or koni.

Are b6's ok with standard height springs or are they too short?

I believe b6's are the sport version so increased damping and the b8's are the shortened strut and increased damping for use with lowering springs. So b6 should be fine but consult your local bilstein dealer! ;)
