Ignition Amp - Bosch New Black One

Hi

 

I am in the process of changing mine as mine has accidentally ripped apart.

 

I have located a Bosch one with the correct and same part number.

 

However, my original Bosch one was blue (on the top) and this is a black one.

 

Are there any real differences in the reliability between the blue and the new black ones?

 

Does any one know or have any experiences with the black ones? Just don't want to fork out cash and find out that I have bought something substandard.

all my xu10 wasted spark units are black bosch o.e.m units, no issues with them.

The black ones are OK but there is a suggestion they don't last as long as the original blue ones.

 

Proper preparation of the heatsink and application of thermal transfer paste is probably more of an issue though IMO.

Thanks, I have ordered some thermal paste. This is more so important I think nowadays because of the warm weather.
