Stripped Threads In Arb End Plate Hole - Help!

Recommended Posts

macaroni

I tried to replace the rear arb with a thicker one but, despite the arb I was sent being wrong, I have stripped the threads on one of the holes that the bolt that locks the end plate goes in.

I have tapped it once with the same M8 x 1.25 thread, but the inner threads are gone.

Is my only hope to drill and tap the trailing arm to an M10 size, or has anyone got a better idea?

Any help gratefully received.

Antony

m10 or even 12 is your only hope, or a helicoil back to M8
