New Car, Glove Box Is Locked And Dont Have The Key

i just bought my h reg 1.6 gti and have realised that i dont have the key for the glove compartment, to make things worse the fuse for the lights has blown. is there any way i can access the glove box without damaging anything?

Is it possible to remove the lower dash panel where it hinges or does the door cover the screws? Might be worth a look.
