Refurbed Alloy Wheels

Recommended Posts

mrfirepro

Getting my alloys refurbished and came across a few old threads that said Gti Distiction (Nuneaton)run by Tony Fallan where very good. Have spoken to him tonight and it all seems good, was just wondering as some of the threads are old, does anyone have any recent experience either good or bad as the product looks great.

Just I have to send money and my old alloys, so wanted to check here before doing this.

Think he was the guy who had that graphite grey one on wheeler dealers, look how nice that was.

Personally, I would stay clear. Nice bloke to deal with but I exchanged a set at french car show back in 2011 and about a year later imperfections stated showing under the lacquer.

He also seems to put far too much lacquer on, with the "speedline" stamps almost flush with the rest of the alloy due to the levels of lacquer used. Whilst this may not appear a problem, it actually dulls the finish of the paint underneath, and I also found the standard silver he uses is much duller than the OEM colour.

2nd lepsons, had several sets of wheels done by them, can't fault them. The quality and depth of paint is outstanding.
