205 V6 Conversion Parts

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

So I'd like to start my 205 v6 conversion soon and I've got a d8 406 coupe that needs to be scrapped ASAP. Literally like tomorrow. What bits would I need from it before it goes? I've got the engine & box out, engine loom, gear stick & cables, drive shafts and exhaust. I've already got some d9 406 hydraulic clutch bits.

Anything else anyone can think of before it goes?

Thankings :)

Cheers. Got the ecu, I'm actually getting all the fuel related bits right now. Is the abs stuff worth the hassle of sorting out? I'm assuming the vehicle speed comes from the drive pinion on the diff only and not wheel speed sensors?

abs requires abs hubs and speed sensors, abs cv joints etc, can be done, but a fair amount of work, the abs loom is totally standalone.

you dont need the instrument cluster.

engine and box, shafts, selector cables and shift lever, loom and ecu ( requires unlocking ) coolant pipes, retain cat for the downpipe section.
