Can someone help ive almost finished my gti6 conversion in my phs1 309 gti my problem is my L shape bracket hits the exhaust manifold. I have the quick shift type. Is there a shorter one ive tried to bend it down so I can get the rod on and I can but cant get any gears.

What have you done to the manifold to make it fit? If it's re-angled correctly you shouldn't have clearance issues with a standard or modified L bracket pivot thingy.

Think you may have adjusted the manifold a shade too much...... (this happened to me too.)

I think the pic below is mines after it was readjusted for the 2nd time.

I think you need to get this spot on if you don't want any knocking etc through engine movement etc.

When I re-angled the manifold I put on the down pipe and adjusted to where it needed to be. Is the standard L shape bracket shorter? The one I have is long.

It's the long arm on the L shape that's hitting. But I suppose I could just shorten that
