Got Myself A "new" Pug

Recommended Posts

eddie bullit

I sold my steel grey as it had been sat in the garage for almost 2 years. I felt i didn't have the time with starting a new job and family commitments etc. As soon as it was sold I realised that I couldn't be without one wether drivable or not. After a couple of disappointments I managed to find this.P1020749.jpg

We set off to pick her up at 5am. Safely home at 4:30pm. A long day.

Needs a few job doing as she's not been on the road for a number of years but I'm really looking forward to this one.

It's nice to see one with the correct seats (assuming it's a 1.9). There doesn't seem to be too many like that anymore.

Looks nice, about a 1988 1.9 car by the look of it, reminds me of one I owned that I wish I hadn't sold.

Needs a new beam I reckon, which I've got thanks to Jord. Valve stem oil seals and a little body work. Usal service items cam belt change etc. Seems reasonably good but I suppose you never know till you start digging.

i always owned cherries. 205 xs, 106 xsi, 1.6 gti. look really good in rude health. Funnily enough when I agreed to by this one, agreed unseen at the time, 1 turned up, identical, locally zipping up and around the roads near me.

Hopefully Reebmit..I just need to make sure I put time aside to do it and not let it fester in the garage and my enthusiasm to drop.

I try and do small jobs at a time and try and keep cars tax/mot'd and on the road if I can. As you say its all to easy to lose interest, saying that I do also have a few big projects on the go as well but with a wife and two teenage daughters its not hard to get motivated and sneak out in the garage for a few hours :-)

I'll do the same I think. if I get in the habit of setting time aside every week I'll be fine.
