15" Sl's - What Wheel Spacers? (If Any)

Recommended Posts

Howdy, do any of you guys know off the top of the head what wheel spacer thickness i would need to run 15" GTI SL's ( with 195/50/15) on a CJ?

Do i even need them at all?

not so sure Cal, because the hub offset is different on the base model, so the wheel sits closer to the strut on the front. I know I had a set of SMr's on a 1.8 diseasle without issue though, but not sure what hubs they used.

I had a xs gti rep, they fit fine, backs are tight on the outer arch, front certainly doesn't need spacers

I had thought from various old threads that i would be ok at the front, and any problem would be at the back, (due to the GTI/standard arches being different..... but thinking about it, the 1.9 has discs, so the back end could be different in that respect also.

Base model hubs are the same dimensions as a 1.9

A diesel is the same as a 1.6
