Genuine Wishbone Bush Kits 3599.07

Recommended Posts

jackherer

Has anyone bought a wishbone bush kit (3599.07) from a dealer recently? I just looked on servicebox and they are marked NFP.

I had a kit in my garage but one bush is missing and the rest have got damp and gone rusty.

Well that really is a bummer. Those kits were good value for money.

Ive got patent wishbones on mine and within a month the steering went awful, however my track rods are well loose now, probably cos of the power and weight so them bushes are more than likely fubared too.

Personally I would say no at moment to a new kit.

looking at making a kit in the future may be useful of course.

The bushes and bolts are sold seperatly (more expensive) until they go there isn't a huge disaster

It's a lot of money when you get them all individually. The kit used to be about £12 so even £29 seemed like a lot to me

I've mailed Stew @ BBM as I'm sure he'll be able to make a good (better than OE?) kit at a good price. It's not like all his other products are based on things becoming NFP, they are more like upgrades at a good price.

Good job I got a few kits the other week :) , Might have a word with Vibra Tech to see if there interested in making some due to the amount of Rally car's needing them

You're probably right but I'd definitely be up for trying some out made from a firmer rubber, we all know how bad it is when you have even a small amount of extra movement especially with an LSD so maybe it will be an improvement or at least they might last longer.

Got one of these kits and just opened it and contents aren't as straight forward as you would think, at least not to me.

The service box image shows part E as M10 plain washer and also shows part E living on both bush bolts but the rear bush bolt is M12 so wtf?

Also if i've arranged them in proper order I seem to have 2 extra of part E and 4 extra nylocs part C

Can anyone tell me where i'm going wrong? Or what the extra parts are for?

Can't just re-use the old washers either as they wont be correct as the subframe came to me bare so I just threw any old washers on it.

I have never bought one of these kits , only single bushes .The top 2 bolts look fine , the lower 2 with the full thread I have not seen before .The washers look ok and the extra nyloc nuts might come in useful .

What make is moulded into the ends of the bushes ,I have seen/bought Motaquip bushes before and as long as they are the same quality we will hopefully not run out of these parts .

kleber. I noticed the full thread bolts too. Might just get those 2 bolts seperate rather than use those.

They've been supplying the kits with full thread bolts for a few years now. That's a shame they're nfp
