Mot Passed For Another Year!

Recommended Posts

Sent the old lady for her MoT today. My neighbour runs a garage so took her off this morning, cursing the ON/OFF throttle, arthritic wipers and lack of PAS

Got home tonight to find her sat on the drive, with an MoT certificate on the passenger seat. Advisories on handbrake efficiency, rear pads/discs and a corroded rear damper (all due to be replaced anyway). No comments on corrosion and emissions well in limits.

Better than I expected!

Drive shaft seals, drain and refill gear box and a new radiator this weekend. Then onto the back brakes.

Good news! What are your plans now? Have you still hot the white shell? Have you fixed the top of the suspension struts?

Good news indeed :D

Still got the white shell although it's turned out to need considerably more work than I'd hoped. Probably to the point it's more cost/time effective to fix the black one up and keep it on the road. Might actually be able to cut some good bits out of the white one to help with repairs. Haven't tackle the rust on the turret yet (hidden under a cunningly placed strut brace), but will have to get at it pretty soon.

All that said, the few days sunshine we've had brought out some of the local kit cars and gave me a serious rash to sell the pugs and build another kit with a bike engine
