Floor Plates?

I was wondering if anyone had any of these for sale or knew where I could get some????

I have spoke to a bloke at a metal shop who said he could knock up some circle discs without the poppers for "a couple of quid each" if I order about 30.

They would be a bit thicker at 1 mm and would need sticking in place. he also said he could powder coat 1 side for "a couple of quid each" (must be his favourite saying) and to add the poppers would pust the price up quite a bit.

Just wondered what peoples thoughts were?????

I drew round an old paint tin and cut mine out from some scrap aluminium. Bonded them on and undersealed over them. Job done!

As it happens I have ordered a batch of these from the laser cutters in stainless steel. Plain discs which will need to be bonded in place as the "tabs" add unneeded complication as you say. Will be available in a week or so.

Price TBC at the moment, as my plan is to supply them with a self adhesive foam tape ring so you can just peel the cover off and stick them to the floorpan.

You can buy them from Peugeot in plastic, as used on the 306 etc.

I'll search the number out soon & post it when I can but iirc it's been posted on here before.

Pug part number is 7518Y2 - £1.69 each.

Knowing Peugeot, you will probably have to buy 50 of them.

If there are minimum orders you might as well just make some up yourself from sheet metal. I've just done some in zintec, bonded them in and then painted over.

I don't think there are minimum order quantities, they are used on the 306 & various other models so at most they are sold in pairs iirc.

Got 2 plates from the dealers yesterday for the stated price.

No minimum quantities as pug_ham suggested.

What are the holes that these things cover for?

Not really sure. I'm guessing as a drain for when the shells were dipped at some point during production?

They have a kind of guttering system leading to them after all.

Sorry, this was not a for sale reply, it was for information only.
