Can anyone tell me what this is on the gearbox?

 

Is it broke?

 

Before gearbox came out it was crunching, I suspected clutch and was confirmed when removed

 

Looks like something has been thrown off and hit the side of the gearbox

 

If you look at the bottom right of the pic there is a mark

That looks like the remains of a pivot point used for another type of clutch arm that passes through the larger apature on the front of the box (blanked with the large plastic cap). I'm not sure which models would have used that set up tho, I'm sure others will know?!... And yeah, it looks like something has being chewing at it in there! It's not needed on the 205 and should be ok left where it's at.

BE1 ball pivot type box with a BE3 style clutch fork shaft.

I thought Jamie was referring to the bright silver line lower down in the photo , looks like something has hit the inside of the casting leaving a mark .
