Oil Leak

Think my leak is coming from oil filler pipe, what did I need to seal it?

Thanks

Possibly just a tightening of the jubilee clip but like many it will be perished and leaking by now, I have the exact same issue on mine.

Does anyone have a new filler pipe?

Yes but they are 80 pound.

Buy of Baker and use the 10% discount you can get and replace them all.

Undo the filler pipe from the block , clean the inside surface of the pipe which meets the block free from oil as best as you can (use Acetone ..) when clean and dry apply an thin layer of RTV sealant on the pipe insides (lightly coat the sealant round the pipe insides with your fingers but just the pipe end/section which meets/fastens to the block) leave the pipe coated like so for a while until the sealant starts to seamy set/seamy cures and then bolt the pipe onto the block and tighten the the jubilee clip lightly first .. then when the sealant fully cures tight some more ..

Try it i may work ... i've had success using this method on coolant/oil/air pipework (obviously better replace with new pipes , failing that this should work to add/retrieve sealing) , just don't go mad with the amount of the sealant !

Farmer, don't suppose you could measure the diameter for me could you? If I can't get something similar or made then I may have to settle with some sealant on the o-ring :(

Fairly certain the leak on mine is coming from the seal between the block and the oil cooler inlet/outlet piece. If you're looking to keep any you have then just dimensions would do...or do you reckon silicone sealant on the existing ring would be ok?

No you can have one if you like.

Be retail plus postage if that is ok?

That'd be awesome. Can you PM me price and your PayPal email to send payment to? Can sort it right now as I have a problem with PayPal but I'll let you know ASAP when it's working again.

As for changing it...is it just filer off and then undo the nut in the middle that the filter sits over until the cooler inlet/outlet block come off?

Yeah will mail you shortly.

Yes, filter off then socket onto the shallow headed nut and unscrew off.

Then it's swap the O-ring over.

Be careful on taking the shallow headed nut/thread off as you can damage the head easy if the socket slips of.

Sorted! Do you know what size it is off the top of your head (incase it's an odd size)?

From memory if could be around a 21 or 22 mm socket.
