The Tour De France

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

As you know Peugeot are celebrating 30 years of the 205 this year and deal of events have been organised by the 205 GTi club de France. One of which is a 205 GTi touring the French regions. This can be viewed on Facebook. An interesting aspect of this TDF is that the vehicle is being raffled once the journey is completed. A members only restriction on buying tickets ( Max 5 tickets at €10 per ticket.) but it's a nice idea don't you think.

regards

Dave

We did consider a raffle for a 205 GTI at Pugfest but there were umpteen rules and regulations with the UK Gambling Act that we needed to fulfill and in addition the tickets would have been quite expensive (£10-15 each) to ensure we covered the car's outlay and any work required on it.

With all the other organisational challenges of Pugfest 2014 and the 30th celebrations, we could not possibly have taken this on unfortunately. Anyhow most people there will have a 205 GTI already!

I wasn't suggesting that you should - I merely said it was a nice idea. The photos on the French forum are excellent, I think it's in Charente today. It's nice to see so many Pugs all together. I have my 2 raffle tickets anyway - so here's hoping.

regards

Dave

Here's a little view of what the car looks like. It has the itinerary written down both sides

I realised that.

I just thought I'd share the fact that we considered this too.

I think the tour is the main part here, not the raffle - imagine it will have covered a few (more) miles after a trip like that.
