Diagnosing Oil Temperature Fault

When you turn the key, are all 4 gauges (oil temp & press, fuel & water temp) supposed to move slightly ? I ask as my oil temp gauge has stopped reading and I notice that the other 3 gauges all move slightly when powered up but the oil temp doesn't and wondered if it's a gauge fault rather than a sensor fault.

Possibly they do all move a fraction, easiest way to tell is to find the wire for it in the brown multiplug under the dashboard and earth it out to see if it jumps to maximum.
