I paid £2000 for my bare shell to be painted a couple of years ago. Bodyshop did all the prep was an ace job. I have heard that prices have gone up now.

It's a must to get PDR done by someone who does PDR prior to it going to paintshop imo to try avoid filler on dings etc. I don't think quick turnarounds from body shops helps this as filler doesn't get time to fully settle before it's hit with paint.
