Checking For Blockage, Mi16 With Bbm Hoses

Recommended Posts

I'm having high temp readings and I've just sorted the fan wiring with help from this thread:

My radiator is still not getting warm and I've already tested the thermostat which opened in a glass of water poured from a kettle.

So I'm thinking it's got to be a blockage, I've found what I thought was the cause on the rad side of the thermostat, thin metal that had appeared to have slated itself off the inside of the metal pipe directly at this point after the thermostat.

After testing the car the rad still didn't get warm.

I'll be flushing the rad out today to check for a blockage in there. Is there any other part of my cooling system that is prone to getting blocked?

I'm in the belief that the bbm kit it self bleeding so am I right in thinking that I shouldn't have any air blocks.
