309 Tu3 With Steel Block?

Been trying to find an engine code on my 309 but it seems to be missing.

Its running a Z2 carb tu3 but I've not seen one with a steel block before without injection. Were these standard with carbs at any point? Trying to work out if its original or not.

Yes, around 1990 - 1991 the 1.4 engine in the 205 and 309 went to an iron block and twin choke carb. 75bhp output.

Ah good thanks mate. All my 205's have been alloy blocks so it made me pause.
