New Wheels And Tryes Finally Fitted

Recommended Posts

nick205

After fitting new front suspension, including; top mounts, shocks, springs, wishbones, track rods, track rod ends and overhauling the steering rack I finally had a bit of time over the weekend to fir my new wheels and tyres. Wheels acquired from a forum member and tryes from another forum I frequent.

Wasn't sure how the black car/grey wheels thing would look, but now they're on I quite like it.

Having gone from bald, cracked leaking tyres and unbalanced wheels to these, the car is now feeling really good. Tracking was 0.25 deg out when checked on a Hunter 4 wheel alignment system today after reassembling it all by eye as well.

Looks good Nick. I've got my 205 at mine in Micheldever at the moment (will be going away for the year when the MOT expires next month. Would love to see your progress in the flesh if you're up for a mini meet?

Bull by the horns and the car is booked into SSP Engineering next Friday to have the ream beam overhauled. Looking forward to having it tight on all four corners.

Sad things is, other than the wheels and tyres all the work is hidden from view.

Welcome to call ahead and pop round on Saturday if you're about.

I'm off to the Basingstoke Festival of Transport on Sunday with the car to meet up with some PSCUK members. Good little show, with lots of variety on offer including; steam, bikes, cars, heavy transport etc.
