Trailing Arm Values

Recommended Posts

boldy205

Hi I have been looking for a thread in which there is a list of all trailing arms with their camber/track/toe values, I cannot find it anywhere! Any ideas?

Or does anyone know if a bare 309 gti arm will give the same track as a bare 1.9 205 gti arm?

Many thanks

Matt

Remember that the values listed in that thread are for the arms fitted to the car they originally came off. Eg zx arms on a lowered 205 will give considerably more toe in than you'd expect and certainly not be parallel.

205 and 309 bare arms will give near as damn it the same track width.

Will it really be that different?

The zx and xsara sit with the arms at the same damper spacing as a 205 but with stiffer bars, its the 306 that is set higher without a significant spring rate increase.

It'd surprise you when you start measuring, as you say 306 arms are the worst for it though.

I am talking about lowered 205s mind (as most are in honesty). A sensibly lowered 205s rear stub axle is approx 40mm higher than the centre of the beam tube, a standard 306 is the other way.

Thanks for the replies, I have now found a pair of what I think are base model 309 arms, which I'm going to take a punt on.
