Fibre Glass Auto Bonnet By Xsport

Recommended Posts

jameswallace.

Ive been looking to lose weight off the front end after putting a 6 lump in and my weedy arms not being able to cope with parking. I found this bonnet on ebay which looks great but has anybody had any experience with it? Its made by Xsport which is a company i never heard of?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Xsport-Racing-Peugeot-205-GTi-Auto-bonnet-skin-/141173754045?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20de9c88bd

I just thought id ask on the off chance if anyone has used this bonnet? i thought somebody on here might have used one if they re supplying 205 ones.

Cheers James

It's only a skin so you would need finish all the fittings yourself,

Yes, Unless you bond it to a frame

Mine has 4 areo catches and also an fabbed Ali plate 'clip' that holds the front centre of the bonnet so it won't flap.

All very motorsport.

£100 for just a skin ? A bit pricey compared to http://www.mcracingsa.com/4-pieces-auto-polyester-competition/7-peugeot/480-205/426-de-base/4809-capot-avant-peugeot-205/ which has all the bracing, etc (probably has nuts bonded into it for the OE hinges too going by their other offerings).

Probably save 5kg over a metal one. Won't make the steering feel any lighter. (Would offset the extra weight of a PAS pump though...)
