Broken Down! Starter Whirring Even With No Keys In Ignition!

Lost power then car wouldn't restart. Got out and theres a loud whirring noise, from the starter. Didn't stop until I disconnected battery, was even still whirring with keys out of ignition! Any ideas?

Sounds like the starter solenoid is getting a constant live feed.

 

Disconnect the solenoid wire and reconnect the battery see if the noise goes away
