hi

can you not fit the 1.6 gti drive flange in to the base model hub? or the 19 gti hub as the only difference i can see is the drive flange.

hi

I've got a 1.6 gti with oval lower ball holes, so they need replacing. i brought a pair of complete hubs that were listed as 1.6gti only when i got them it turns out there base model one i believe! so looking at them they look the same apart from the bit the wheel bolts too! so can i just swap that bit over?

ah, in that case yes you could do that, though you would need new wheel bearings.

if the bearings are good you could pick up some 1.9 discs and fit them as they are, probably cost about the same but saves getting someone to press the bearings for you.
