mrfirepro 127 1 Cars Posted April 29, 2014 Does anyone have any idea where I can get a suitable material to replace the sealing strip covering the three holes in the floor pan. Unfortunately I didn't remove them for a sample before the shell went to the dippers. http://s1238.photobucket.com/user/mrfirepro/media/205%20projects/P1020482_666x500.jpeg.html (it's the darker red strip in the middle of the picture towards the bottom)
welshpug 1,647 Posted April 29, 2014 its not a sealing strip, its a rubberised sealing mastic type material which was brushed on, almost like a liquid tiger seal.
mrfirepro 127 1 Cars Posted April 29, 2014 Thanks for that, How does it get brushed over the holes and have you any idea where I can get some from?
Daviewonder 533 3 Cars Posted April 29, 2014 I think Welshpug is looking at the wrong part. The bit you're talking about looks like a foam strip.
welshpug 1,647 Posted April 29, 2014 ohhh the tar like sealing stuff, just some stuck down sound deadening will do the truck, like dynamat or similar, or even flashing tape.
