Not really a barn find, as I always knew it was there lol!

There's a few other cars in there too including a cti with the 1.9 lump from this one in it that I will probably be breaking!

Is the Nova being used in anger now?

 

I've now a hill climb spec 205 shell with a TB'd Mi16 going in.

 

Would be interested to hear how a 1.9gti stacks up against the GTE in fun and performance?

It's been a while since I've been in the 205 and the nova is currently off the road after a rather lengthy and definitely costly rebuild! Nova will be done for the next road rally scatter season in sept!

As for 205 vs gte, it's all a matter if opinion, I think the 205 is more fun but you can't beat a c20xe over a mi16 lump, 205s def grip better but when they loose traction they're not as catchable as an Astra

Given my driving style I'm faster in a gte and faster still in my nova! But for a daily driver to put a smile on my face I'd choose the 205!

Who knows if I pull my finger out they might all be at castle Combe later this year for a comparison - and maybe even the b18c4 turbo mini I'm building lol
