Tailgate Buffer Position

Recommended Posts

Clapton_Is_God

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if I have my tailgate rubber buffer / shim the correct way around? I currently have it so that the blunt end is facing the back of the car, does it matter?

Am I correct in thinking it's there to centralise the tailgate?

Many thanks for any help!

Mine are the other way round, i've never moved them so I guess they're correct!

Good stuff, that does make more sense.

Thank you Jonathan!

Completely off topic but I see you've sound proofed the floor. Make much of a difference?

Hi Ali,

Yes it has, but so far only to my wallet and the weight of the car.

I'm still rebuilding the car and it's nowhere near road worthy so I can't comment on it effectiveness yet.

It's good quality Dynamat Superlite and I've read nothing but positive reviews both here and elsewhere so I've got my fingers crossed.
